How Does A Food Intolerance Test Work?

Food Intolerance Test UK is a personal, face to face food intolerance test. Before you arrive for your appointment, a Food Intolerance Test Questionnaire must be completed by you, this will help the appointment run smoothly and to schedule.

Your first test will take between 1.5-2 hours. This will include:

  • Review of your pre-filled form and a full discussion of your health issues
  • Testing
  • Discussion of the results
  • Advice and instructions on how to carry out the elimination of foods and alternatives to eat, drink and alternative environmental products to use.

Using a Dietx Electro-dermal screening machine for your food intolerance test, I press an acupuncture point on your hand which does not pierce the skin. The test is not painful, its non-invasive and its comfortable.

Up to 200 potential intolerances are tested, including food components, drinks, additives, alcoholic drinks and any products which may aggravate symptoms, e.g. washing products, fabric conditioners, soaps, shampoos, deodorants, air fresheners, fragranced candles, polishes and cleaning sprays.

The time required for the test is due to the number of foods and additives which will be tested.  You will also be given a personal report tailored to your individual needs and a highly detailed explanation of which foods you can and cannot eat. Unlike other food testing companies, there are no hidden charges for your test results.

I have nearly all foods, drinks, e-numbers, herbs and spices and more in my office so you do not have to bring your own foods with you.  However, if you have any special foods you eat regularly and would like to be tested, you are more than welcome to bring samples of them with you to your test.

Unfortunately, I'm unable to offer you a food intolerance test if you have a pacemaker fitted, please contact your doctor about alternative options.
